I saw my dutch friend almost kick his TV off the
stand when Holland won 3-2 against Uruguay.
A wonderful thing for our Dutch neighbours, and Sunday they will be playin' the Final against Germany or Spain.

Germany & Spain will be playing today at 20.30 @ The Durban Stadium.

Nederland is de eerste finalist in de Wereldbeker voetbal. In Kaapstad won Oranje dinsdag met 3-2 van Uruguay. Bij de rust stond het 1-1 gelijk.

Nederland creëerde meteen kansen. In de 18e minuut bracht dat een doelpunt op. Aanvoerder Giovanni van Bronckhorst knalde de bal van op bijna dertig meter netjes in de kruising. Het was het sein voor Uruguay om het commando over te nemen. In De 41e minuut toonde Diego Forlan dat ook hij het van op afstand kan. De spits van Atletico Madrid krulde de bal mooi voorbij Maarten Stekelenburg. Die streelde de bal nog met de vingertoppen, onvoldoende om de 1-1 te voorkomen. In de tweede periode nam Nederland opnieuw het initiatief. In de 70e minuut maakte Wesley Sneijder er 2-1 van en amper twee minuten later kopte Arjen Robben de 3-1 binnen. In de 92e minuut zorgde Maxi Pereira nog voor een spannende slotfase. In de finale speelt Nederland zondag 11 juli in het Soccer City Stadium van Johannesburg tegen Duitsland of Spanje. Die geven elkaar woensdag in Durban partij. Uruguay speelt zaterdag in Port Elisabeth de wedstrijd om de derde plaats. Het is de derde keer dat Nederland de finale van een Wereldbeker speelt. In 1974 verloren onze nooderburen met 2-1 van West-Duitsland, in 1978 met 3-1 na verlengingen van Argentinië. Dat Nederland de finale speelt is slecht nieuws voor scheidsrechter Frank De Bleeckere. Omdat onze landgenoot ook in de Nederlandse competitie fluit, ziet de Wereldvoetbalbond hem liever niet in een wedstrijd van Oranje.

Lindsay Lohan Goes To Jail.

Lindsay Lohan will serve at least 90 days in jail for violating probation
in 2007. When the judge confirmed her sentence, she bursted out in tears.

De rechter in Beverly Hills, Californië, sprak de effectieve celstraf uit nadat Lohan (24) de voorwaarden verbrak van een straf die haar in 2007 was opgelegd. Zo kwam ze niet opdagen op een verplichte cursus alcoholbeheersing, waarna ze een verplichte alcoholmonitor aan de enkel diende te dragen. Die sloeg dit voorjaar alarm.

Well money talks I guess, because Lindsay Lohan is most likely not to serve 90 days.

UsMagazine.com stated:

She may have been ordered to serve 90 days in the slammer, but Lindsay Lohan probably won't stay behind bars for that long.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, tells Access Hollywood that generally non-violent females, such as the 24-year-old actress, are eligible to serve just 25 percent of their sentence. In Lohan's case, that would wind up at around 22 days. The reason: Severe jail overcrowding.
